TempeHiker attended the 3 March 2006 groundbreaking ceremony for the East Valley Bus Operations and Maintenance Facility located at 2050 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe.

50% of the funding for the facility was provided by the cities of Tempe and Scottsdale, and the Valley Metro Public Transit Fund. The other 50% was federal funding.

We parked at 5th St. and Hardy Ave. and walked from there to the groundbreaking ceremony.
