TempeHiker read in the Tempe News about a decorated standpipe in the Mitchell Park neighborhood so he decided to get pictures. A Tempe press release started with the following: "What was once an eyesore prone to attract trash and graffiti has now become a work of art for Tempe's Mitchell Park East neighborhood."
Artistic standpipe ... another view ... another view.
This standpipe, which is also on 9th Street, is a work in progress.
Across the street from the standpipe was a saguaro and huge cactus bulbs.
There isn't much at Mitchell Park.
