We left Tempe at 4:00am and drove in the dark east on US Hwy-60 through the towns of Superior, Miami and Globe. At Globe, we headed east on US Hwy-70 to Safford.

We stopped in Pima to have a piece of pie at the Sunrise Cafe, but they didn't serve pie.

We encountered a 314 milepost just west of Pima. {looking west}
