Leave Tempe at 6:00am heading west on I-10. It was a dark Tuesday morning on 21 December 2004.

First stop was at the Burnt Well Rest Area located 76 miles west of Tempe. The sun was starting to rise and I spent 20 minutes at the rest area taking in the sunrise.
