TempeHiker visited the new Convention Center for the first time. The lobby has a huge mirror that sits atop a pole based in the lower-level. The mirror says "Art is a guaranty of sanity."
Kudos to the city of the Phoenix for the excellent job they did with Central Park. Located south of downtown the park is vastly improved over its previous condition. The playground equipment combines playing and learning. {english/spanish} {height chart} {length measurements} {english/spanish}
Prior to returning to his car, TempeHiker stopped to say "hello" to Ed The Hotdogger and have a tasty hotdog. Ed took pictures of a pile of old rail that was discovered while during light-rail construction. Ed The Hotdogger was also passionate about Phoenix leaving Patriots Square Park as is. It would be a shame to lose all the excellent brick work that went into making the park.
