I, Gerald Thurman, wrote the following for Veterans Day 2000.
Veterans Day this year -- 2001 -- finds our country at war. I have learned a lot about how fragile and precious our Freedoms are. These days I scream THANK YOU to all veterans. Veterans Day 2002 sees our country and world in a strange state. Bottom-line: The citizens of the U.S.A. remain free to strive for freedom. Thank You to all veterans. Veterans Day 2003 sees our country still embroiled in a war on terrorism. Terrorists continue to bite into our Freedoms just like the rabid-dogs they are. I continue to extend a heartfelt Thank You to all our great veterans.
It has been four years since I updated this webpage
and sadly veterans Day 2007 is basically unchanged
from 2003. We still have soldiers in Afghanistan
and Iraq and our politicians continue to use the
war for political masturbation. Thank You
veterans for keeping us FREE.
It is now 2008 and we're still fighting in Iraq and Afgahnistan.
This litter can in Bouse, Arizona, says it all--Thank a Vet.
