Earth Day

Due to differing religious belief systems, uncertainty exists as to when Earth Day officially occurs.

International Earth Day (non-religious) claims Earth Day occurs on the 21st of March when the Spring/Vernal Equinox occurs, while Earth Day Network (religous) proclaims Earth Day is on April 22nd. Earth Day - US Government Portal -- located at EarthDay.gov -- says Earth Day is 22 April.

There is also disagreement about who founded Earth Day -- was it John McConnell or Gaylord Nelson? One area of agreement is that Earth Day was started by somebody here on earth around 1970.
